Dental practice Uithof: the switch from factoring to Payt
Hussein Mirsadeghi of Dental care practice Uithof has been using the software of Payt for his claims and patient invoices since January 2022. Previously he had this done at a factoring company, but for a number of reasons he has chosen to switch to Payt. This choice resulted in more overview and control, better communication with patients and no more defaulters.
Switching from factoring to Payt
“The handling of claims and patient invoices I previously did via factoring and the difference is huge,” said Mirsadeghi. “The reasons that I have chosen Payt are that I have overview and control over all claims and the bills are very clear both for me and for my patients. Because of this, you see that patients pay much faster”. The financial difference is also considerable. “By using Payt, I save significantly on the costs I previously had for factoring.
Payt offers an affordable and patient-friendly alternative to factoring. And not only supports the handling of the bill to the patient, but can also take care of the automated declarations via health insurance companies. The patient invoices are sent from the practice with an online payment button. “Patients immediately recognise that the invoice comes from my practice and can pay easily and quickly.”
Communication with the patient
Another major difference of Payt compared to factoring is the way of communicating with patients. With Payt, patients receive their invoice directly from the practice via email or post. This mail contains a link to their own online file where they can find all bills. From this file, patients can easily pay the invoice via online payment methods or communicate with the practice at invoice level. Is there a mistake on the invoice? Or can the patient not pay the invoice at once? Then this is solved with one click.
“What I often hear from my patients is that they really like communicating directly with me instead of a factoring company,” says Mirsadeghi. “Firstly, it is much more personal, which benefits the relationship I have with my patients, secondly, I can help them much better. I have performed the treatment on the patient and that makes it only logical that I, as a practice, can also be reached for questions about the invoice”. When asked whether this means Mirsadeghi has a lot more work, he can be brief: “No, not at all, just once in a while. But I don’t have any defaulters any more.”
